Collection of Solid Waste

Solid waste is collected every Friday and may be placed at the curbside no sooner than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This collection is for household generated trash only, but will accommodate one bulk item per week. Bulk appliances and items with Freon, however, will be collected every other week by appointment only when calling 856-461-1460 extension 8. We will not accommodate cleanouts, nor will hazardous materials, construction debris , TVs, computers or recyclable materials be collected with solid waste. Cardboard, newspaper, bottles and cans must be recycled and failure to do so will result in a summons. TVs and computers must be disposed of on your own. Collection of Recycling

Recycling is collected every other Wednesday. All recyclable materials must be curbside
No later than 6:00 a.m. Recycling buckets and carts are available by calling the Township at
856-461-0284. For collection misses, call (856) 461-4141, or email recycling@otcbc.org
Recyclables can also be taken to the Public Works Yard at 300 Monroe Street for disposal.
Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the Fourth Saturday of every month between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

BRANCH, LEAF AND GRASS CLIPPING SCHEDULES

BRANCHES

Curbside pickup April through October. We will canvas the town every Monday and Friday, working through the East End, the Middle Section, the Avenues, and Reeder Tract/Swamp Poodle. Branches cannot exceed 8’ in length and 4’’ inches in diameter. Stumps will be collected for a fee of $30.00 per stump, which must be paid before collection. Please note that it takes two to three weeks to canvas the town. All branches must be placed at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. for pick-up. The truck remain at one residence for no more than
thirty (30) minutes, so please plan your pick-up accordingly.
You do not need to call ahead to be put on the list.

SPRING LEAF COLLECTION

SPRING curbside leaf collection will begin April 1, 2013 and run through May 31, 2013. Throughout the month, we will canvas the Township in the order of the East End, Middle Section, the Avenues, and Reeder Tract/Swamp Poodle. Please place material loose at the curb (no materials other than leaves and grass).

FALL LEAF COLLECTION

FALL curbside leaf collection will begin November 4, 2013 and run through December 27, 2013. On a monthly basis, the town will be canvassed in the order of the East End, the Middle Section, the Avenues, and Reeder Track/Swamp Poodle. Place your leaves at the curbside and do not place branches on leaf pile.

GRASS CLIPPINGS

Curbside collection is available for grass clippings with loose leaves (see above) in April and May and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday, June through September. Grass clippings cannot and will not be collected with solid waste. Bags must not exceed 30 pounds per bag and should bags contain anything other than grass after June, they will not be collected. Please do not put branches or trash in with grass clippings.

PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE SCHEDULE

The garage will open the 4th Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect any of the above materials. We will also collect tires for a fee of $10.00 per car tire and $15.00 per truck tire and tree stumps for a fee of $30.00 , which must be paid to the Township before drop-off or pick-up. We will not accept any hazardous materials, construction debris, televisions or electronics. Please note that our facility is now under video surveillance.
