Public Works Fall Schedule

Posted on March 28th, 2016

Happy Fall Everyone!  As Election Day approaches and the temperature drops (not too drastically we hope!), we would like to take this opportunity to outline the Fall Schedule for our Public Works Department.

Our Fall Leaf Collection will begin on November 7th and run through the end of the year.  The schedule for the first pass will be as follows:

November 7th through 12th – Reeder Tract and Swamppoodle

November 14th through 19th – Lower Avenues

November 21st through 26th – Upper Avenues

November 28th through December 3rd – Middle Section

December 5th trough December 10th – East End

We will canvas each section throughout the designated week, and will move into the next section daily if all leaves have been collected in the designated section.

Our second pass through town will go in the reverse order and will continue through January 6th, depending upon the weather.

As usual, we kindly request that you do not park on the leaves or place any debris (branches, trash, etc.) on top of the leaves and that you place all leaves in between the sidewalk and curbing so as not to cause drainage issues.

Branch and Bag Collection will end Friday November 4th.  All branches must be at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday October 31st to guarantee collection.  Branch collection will cease during the fall leaf collection and will resume after Little Christmas (January 6th).

Friday Morning Sweeps will cease until next year.

As always, our Public Works Garage is open the fourth Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:oo p.m.  All of the above-referenced materials may be brought to the garage for disposal.  We do not, however, take construction debris, hazardous materials or electronics at our garage.

Should you have any questions about this schedule, please contact our offices at 856-461-1460 x4.  Thank you.
